Our Prices Include,
Accommodation, as confirmed for the number of people on the booking form, in the villas or apartment of your choice, including all local taxes, gas, water electricity, service charges, swimming pool maintenance (where applicable)
Prices Do Not include Holiday insurance, which is compulsory. Transportation to and from the villas or apartment, but this can be arranged separately. We have tried very hard to give faithful descriptions of all the properties managed by Coastal Properties, and we do hope that you will find that the description did not do it justice and be pleasantly surprised with the property. Please note that standards in Spain can be different to those normally accepted in your home country. However, it is possible that certain facilities in the resort or villa you have booked may be temporarily out of service due to breakdown, maintenance, government legislation or local licensing laws, unsuitable weather conditions or other local conditions. In the low season it is possible that some local restaurants and bars may not be fully operational. Coastal Properties cannot be held responsible for any such problems that are outside our control. Just as at home, while you are on holiday, life goes on as normal all around you. Building or road works may be in progress nearby, a neighbour may start building a swimming pool or the local water board may decide to drill for water in the vicinity. New building work starting after your booking may in some way distort our description of the property we have considered peaceful or quiet. This work may start early in the morning as is local practice and can start at any time in the year. As it is not always possible to gauge the extent of such works, we regret we cannot always advise you of the constantly changing conditions. Whenever we do become aware of such works taking place that in or opinion could materially spoil your enjoyment of your holiday we will try to advise you. However you should note that we are not responsible for such work taking place nor control the noise level. We may use the generic term 'villas' or 'apartments' to describe the self catering properties managed by Coastal Properties, regardless of the exact type of accommodation, which are described as fully as possible elsewhere. Additional information about any property may be obtained from our offices. There is no cleaning service included in the self-catering villa/apartment price but if you would like additional cleaning during your stay at the villa/apartment, this can be arranged and paid for separately. Prices vary from property to property, but are usually around 6000 pesetas for a minimum of 3 hours at the villa/apartment. Ants are constant visitors to most villas/apartments in Spain. Locally bought ant powders are a good repellent, but it also helps to keep crumbs to a minimum. As most of our villas/apartments are surrounded by gardens, field mice and fruit rats are also common. These can be kept out of the property by keeping food out of temptation's way. Mosquitoes should be kept at bay by a good repellent (available in UK chemists and supermarkets and chemists in Spain) - please don't splatter them against the wall. Divan type beds with interior sprung bases are virtually unheard of in Spain. Our villas are equipped with single or double beds usually with either wooden slatted or flat wire bases, and an interior sprung mattress. Beds are often shorter (1.80m - 1.90m) than you may be used to at home. A minimum of one pillow per person is supplied. Clients with special needs should consult our reservations staff. If you require a cot, please request it at the time of booking in order that we can ensure it is at the villa/apartment on your arrival. A supplementary fee of £10 will be charged when you arrive. Cots are purchased locally and may be different from those you are used to at home. They are supplied without sheets, blankets or pillows, which you should take with you. Please check with our reservations staff for the availability and cost of cots. In the villas/apartments sufficient beds will be made up for the number of persons occupying the property. There will usually be one bath towel and one hand towel per person and two tea towels per villa/apartment. On stays longer than ten days, linen will be changed weekly. Towels will probably be smaller than those you are used to at home. If you prefer bath 'sheets' we suggest you take these with you along with your swimming towels. Most villas/apartments are equipped with a washing machine to enable guests to do their own washing. Regrettably none of the villas or apartments within our portfolio are specifically adapted for disable visitors, those who rely on the use of a wheelchair or those with special needs. Additionally some properties with many steps are less suitable for toddlers, elderly guests, or those with walking difficulties. We have tried to give as clear a picture as possible as to the suitability of the property for disabled visitors. If any member of your party is confined to wheelchair or is in any way disabled, please tell us so that we can suggest suitable accommodation and thus avoid disappointment when you arrive. Bathroom doors are generally not wide enough for a wheelchair. At some villas/apartments you will be asked, on your arrival, to leave a deposit against damage. This deposit will be returned to you within two weeks of the end of your stay, following inspection of the property. At all properties you will be asked to reimburse us the full cost of any breakages, loss or damage caused to the property during your stay, and indeed for any extra cleaning required if the property is left in an unreasonable condition. We would therefore ask you to please, please replace any damaged items and leave the property in a reasonable state on your departure. A full inventory of all our villas/apartments is taken at the beginning of the letting season to ensure that there is sufficient equipment for the number of people occupying the property. It is simply not possible to do this between each let, so if you do not get a chance to replace any damaged items, then please advise us so that we may replace them. This way the visitors following you will not be disappointed with the equipment in the villa/apartment. Gardens have to be maintained on a regular basis and it is simply not possible for this to be carried out on 'changeover' days. Gardeners will try to be as discreet as possible, but should you find they are spending excessive time at the villa you/apartment should report the matter to us. At our self-catering villas with private swimming pools there are usually sunbeds or sur chairs for the number of people on the booking form (to a maximum number of people stated in the villa description). Sunbeds cannot be supplied for extra persons. At properties where there is a shared pool, there are rarely any sunbeds supplied. Sun umbrellas are not standard equipment although at villas with private pools one will be supplied if there is no shade near the pool. These should not be taken to the beach. Cheap parasols are readily available in most supermarkets. We are however, subject to supply furniture etc. as provided by the villa owner and whilst we shall endeavour to ensure that the owners provide goods to a sufficient quantity and standard, this cannot be guaranteed. Swimming pools have to be maintained on a regular basis and as with garden maintenance, this cannot always be done on 'changeover' days. Pools at villas are normally checked once a week and cleaned once a week, and whilst this is often done very early in the morning, maintenance personnel may arrive while you are using the pool. In these cases you will be asked to vacate the pool for about one hour. Filtration is automatically controlled by a time clock. Underwater lighting is not always available. At some properties with shared pools these may only be available between June and September. Neither pool maintenance personnel nor gardeners have fixed hours, so it is not possible for us to advise you of the exact day or time of their visit. We consider a car essential for the enjoyment of your holiday, and have negotiated very competitive rates for our clients. Cars can be delivered to you at your airport of arrival and returned there by you at the end of your holiday. For your own safety and convenience we suggest you book a larger rather than smaller car for your holiday. Children and infants count as 'passengers' for insurance purposes and overloading your car will result in the insurance becoming null and void. Roof bars can be supplied and are only suitable for one suitcase. We strongly recommend you take you own 'straps' for attaching your suitcase to roof bars. Neither Coastal Properties nor the car hire company can be held responsible if suitcases fall off the roof. Please remember when packing your suitcase that you will have to lift it on to the roof! Baby seats can be provided. Child booster seats are not available. Please remember that a baby seat takes the space and counts as one person. Drinking and driving laws are the same as in Britain. In order to prepare for the next visitors we must ask you to vacate the villa/apartment by 10.00hrs on your day of departure. Unless agreed prior to your arrival, we cannot guarentee that properties will be available until 14:30 hrs. When making your travel arrangements please first consult with our reservations staff who will be able to advise you of suitable timings in order to avoid you having to spend unnecessary hours either waiting to enter your accommodation or after vacating. We recommend that those visitors arriving at night take a torch. Meeting and Access Arrangements In most cases, prior to your holiday, we will issue you with very detailed directions/instructions between your arrival airport and our offices, and similarly directions from our office to your villa/apartment. If we have arranged to meet you, to issue keys/accompany you to the property, we would be obliged if you would telephone us as soon as you have cleared customs to confirm safe arrival and time. Our office is open between 09.30hrs and 1400hrs. Monday to Friday and we have two mobile telephones for use at all times. When we receive your call we will then be able to assess your time of arrival in Mojacar and arrange for a suitable meeting place (if appropriate). When you reach Mojacar please telephone us again to advise us that you have actually arrived. Your co-operation in this respect will enable us to provide an efficient service. If you are arriving 'out of hours' you will be advised of where to collect your keys. Shopping for food can be fun on holiday, and you will find a wonderful selection of meat, fish fruit and vegetables. Beef is, so far, 'BSE' free, and great steaks are available for barbecues. Most towns have a daily indoor market, and weekly market for everything from fruit and veg to leather jackets and shoes. The less adventurous will also find supermarkets stocked with may familiar British products. Local produce is generally cheaper than its UK equivalent and imported goods slightly more expensive. Tea bags are not as strong as those in Britian. In the Mojacar area there are literally hundreds of places to eat out. From the cheapest 'menu del dia' (menu of the day) at around 10 euro's per head, to Michelin starred restaurants at 80 euro's there is something for every taste. Many restaurants take credit cards, although you should check first. Riding, tennis, Golf and green bowls are available and hiring of jet skis, wind surfers etc. are usually available in high season. The whole world loves a fiesta. Some are religious fiestas, and others purely an excuse for the locals to have a good time. You will find more information about fiestas in local publications. The dates of some of these fiestas change from year to year and we can advise you whether there will be fiestas during your holiday. Good insurance cover is absolutely vital when you book a holiday. We advise you to take only small amount of local currency with the balance in traveller's cheques. Credit cards are accepted in some bars, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and shops but not everywhere, so please don't rely on being able to use them always. Most banks have cash points where you can obtain money with 'plastic' ~ don't forget your PIN number. British visitors to Spain require a full 10yr British Passport valid to at least six months after their return date, but do not need a visa. Holders of other passports are strongly advised to check with the Spanish Consulate before travelling to Spain to ensure that their documentation is valid, as regulations do change from time to time. We cannot accept liability for clients who have incorrect or insufficient documentation. Further information can be obtained from; Spanish Consulate20 Draycott Place 22/23 Manchester Square
